My Education

Lansing Community College

I was a always a high achiever at an early age.  I graduated high school with a 3.8 of 4.0 GPA and was enrolled in a post-secondary dual enrollment  program through my high school.  I completed 12 credits through my high school before enrolling as a college student after high school graduation.  I finished my pre-requisite requirements for the Dental Hygiene Program after a few road blocks resulting from my life- threatening (altering) car accident.  I set off to finish off my Dental Hygiene schooling.

University of Michigan/ Dental School

After multiple episodes of sickness and overall malaise (total body weakness and fatigue) along with stomach pains and unhealthy stools Nina decided to be tested for food allergies.  Nina was diagnosed with multiple food allergies helped explain the general discomfort and chronic  "sick" feeling. After Nina's  diet was cleaned up/improved for a few months she felt a little better, but was not 100%.

This is when Nina enrolled at Tulsi Holistic Living's Holistic Nutritional Consultant program.  This gave Nina a great foundation of knowledge to finish the American Association of Nutritional Consultant exam.  More information here.

Since finishing the certification Nina has been on an active journey to gain more multi-dimensional knowledge of nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices; and helping to incorporate them in to my professional Dental Hygiene practices. Nina's self study, research and focus have been on Ayervedic (Ayerveda) traditions along with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Acupuncture, Acupressure, Meditation, Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Traditional Regional Folk Herbalism.  The journey is life long and continuous!  Keep learning :)
